The library has changed it’s library software to NExpress Shared Catalog using the open source software, KOHA. The advantages to this is numerous. You are now able to access the library at home, work, or wherever you are that has access to the Internet. You are able to borrow books from not only Wellsville’s library but also from more than 30 other libraries. They will be delivered to Wellsville for you to pick up. We will be changing the fines policies to no fines, but any lost or damaged item will have to be paid for. We are re-registering all the patrons and the patrons can set their own passwords for use of the system. New library cards are being issued. The patron will receive two cards, one standard size card and one that goes on a key-chain. If the cards are lost they can be replaced at a fee of $1.00.
