Wellsville City Library’s Winter Travel Picture Contest

Since it’s cold outside we would like to invite you to color, paint, draw, or bring in a photograph of someplace you have traveled in person or from a book. You can enter your name into a drawing for a chance to win a travel gift bag. There will be two drawings, one for ages 12 and up and one for ages 11 and under. If you don’t have a picture in your mind you can stop by the library and pick up one of the various travel scene coloring pages. The pictures entered will be on display at the library until the end of March. Entries must be made by March 7th at 6:00pm. One entry per person. The winner will be drawn at the Friends of the Library Foundation meeting on March 8th.

This is inspired by the book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss.

This winter, please consider reading to: a child, someone who can’t see well enough to read, yourself to grow learn, or to just have fun. Share your favorite story! Tell someone your own story of life and adventures! When you read to a child or have them read to you it helps them build: reading skills, public speaking abilities, & their confidence. It also develops a friendship!
